MULTITASKING

In today's troubled time scenario of economy, Organizations are forced to look
towards the employees ,those who can enhance their performance level,
quality of work & Maximization of work output.

All the superhero's most impressive feat was perhaps their balancing Act. Beside being superhero they do some other work also as normal person i.e Spiderman as photographer, Superman as reporter etc.
&
In real life we can look towards our sports personalities, say M.S.Dhoni as a fine cricketer as well as brand ambassador for several products, Sachin tendulkar, a cricketer & a business man ( he own a fine restaurant in mumbai). They are performing both role efficiently.

That what we called MULTITASKING.

Multitasking helps you to swim across troubled water's smoothly. Company Management always give thumps up to multitasking because they can survive in difficult times with lesser no. of employees, help them to keep their expenses low , takes the work output graphs up & if a employee can do multitasking efficiently he has an edge over rest of the lot, as point out by several industry experts.

Employees increase their prospectus of retaining there job in trouble time as they can be moved to other department /streams where the manpower needed.

Multitasking leads to take extra responsibilities other than regular work & its enhance the knowledge & skill of an employee,which help them in longer run.

But management should ensure that extra responsibilities don't turn into a burden on employees of company. A tired mind & body cannot conceive /or accept fresh ideas. They should have been given adequate training for their skill enhancement to taken care of extra responsibilities properly & responsibly.

lets try to sum up the traits of Multitasking in below mentioned points:

  1. Identify extra responsibilities / work that a employee can take along with the present one.
  2. Ensure that they have not given something they don't identify as valuable to them or feel burden on them.
  3. Ensure they are broadly explained their area of regular work as well as extra responsibilities.
  4. They have been provided proper training on knowledge / or skill & equip them to cover the gap to perform multitasking efficiently.
  5. Motivate them to expand limits of their capabilities.
